Then the oxidizing agent is added to oxidize all forms of nickel in the water sample to trivalent nickel, and then the characteristic color developing agent is added for color developing reaction. In the measuring range, the degree of gas color change is proportional to the total nickel concentration in the water sample, and the nickel content in the water sample can be calculated by measuring the change in color.
