Transportation of Water Samples

Keep a record of the water samples you collect and be sure to label them (to prevent confusion). Before the production equipment, when some users do not understand the water sample, they will advise them to send the water sample for testing, and then analyze the impurities in the water, so there are several problems that need to be paid attention to during the transportation process:

1.Keep the mouth plug of the sampling container tight, and seal with sealing glue and paraffin if necessary (tip: the water sample of oil can not be sealed with paraffin);

2.In order to avoid the water sample in the transportation process due to vibration, collision caused by loss or contamination, first packed the sample bottle, and with foam plastic or paper tightly;

3.Samples that need to be refrigerated should be equipped with a special insulated container, put the refrigerant, and place the sample bottle in it;

4.When it comes to winter, insulation measures should be taken to avoid freezing and cracking the sample bottle.

 

Preservation of Water Samples

The container for storing water samples is likely to adsorb the components to be measured, or dip into sewage samples, so choose a container made of materials with stable performance and low impurity content. Commonly used container materials are borosilicate glass, quartz and so on. If the water samples cannot be transported in time or analyzed as soon as possible, appropriate preservation methods should be adopted according to the requirements of different monitoring projects. The transport time of water samples is usually less than 24 hours.
