On June 22nd, the inspection team of the Zhanjiang Branch of the Provincial Hydrological and Water Resources Monitoring Center (hereinafter referred to as the “Branch”) visited the automatic water quality monitoring station of the drinking water source area of the Hedi Reservoir. They inspected the operation of the station’s infrastructure and water station system on site, and verified the original data and reported data. It is reported that all 7 online monitoring stations for surface water drinking water sources in the city have recently entered the trial operation stage, continuously monitoring water quality in real-time for 24 hours to ensure that the general public can drink “safe water”.

At present, all seven online monitoring stations for surface water drinking water sources in the sub center (including three river type online monitoring stations and four lake and reservoir type online monitoring stations) have been put into trial operation. The river type online monitoring stations carry out monitoring of seven indicators: water temperature, turbidity, pH value, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, ammonia nitrogen, and permanganate index. The lake and reservoir type online monitoring stations carry out monitoring of eleven indicators: water temperature, turbidity, pH value, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, ammonia nitrogen, permanganate index, total phosphorus, total nitrogen, chlorophyll a, and blue-green algae. Moreover, according to reports, in the future, the sub center will continue to adhere to the requirements of “water conservation priority, spatial balance, systematic governance, and dual efforts” in water management, closely focusing on the overall theme of “filling the gaps in water conservancy engineering and strengthening supervision in the water conservancy industry” in water reform and development, and striving to play an important technical support role in maintaining the ecological health of rivers and lakes and comprehensively serving the river chief system.
