Measuring Method

 

The pyridine barbituric acid colorimetric method follows the standard specifications GB 7486-87 and HJ484-2009.

 

System Overview

 

The preprocessed water sample is injected into a special reactor by an injection pump to react with strong acidic reagents, allowing various forms of cyanide in the solution to exist as cyanide ions. After neutralizing the excess acid, the pH of the solution is adjusted. At the same time, a masking agent is added to eliminate the influence of interfering substances on the measurement. Then, a characteristic colorimetric agent is added for colorimetric reaction. Within the measurement range, the degree of color change in the solution is directly proportional to the concentration of cyanide in the water. By measuring the degree of color change, the cyanide content in the effluent can be calculated. The instrument can also be used for measuring total cyanide in water by modifying the testing process and replacing reagents.

 

Measurement Principle

 

The characteristic of using the expulsion method is to eliminate the matrix interference of the water sample. Different water samples have different impurity contents in the water, and their impurities will greatly affect the colorimetric measurement. T8000-CN uses a unique expulsion method to transfer the cyanide in the water sample into a clean colorimetric cell for absorption measurement, and its measurement is not affected by any interference of the water sample matrix, thereby improving accuracy.
