System Description

 

The VFA-8000 Volatile Fatty Acid (VFA) online monitor is an automatic online VFA monitor controlled by an embedded system. It can be used for online real-time monitoring of water treatment processes in the food industry and other industries containing volatile fatty acids, or for real-time online monitoring of post-treatment discharge standards.After sample filtration, it is pumped into the reactor, where masking agents are first injected to eliminate interfering substances, and then the pH value of the solution is adjusted to ensure a suitable pH level. Next, a characteristic developer is added to undergo a color reaction with the fatty acid, and the absorbance of the reaction product is measured.The concentration of VFA in the sample is calculated based on the absorbance value and the calibration factor stored by the monitor.
